Chris was born and brought up in Texas, and he has lived and worked in Washington, DC for nearly 30 years.
His early career includes work for the House Judiciary Committee under Congressman Jack Brooks (D-TX), the office of Congressman and Majority Whip David Bonior (D-MI), and then Ann Richards’ campaign for Governor in Austin.
In between political and government roles, Chris worked as a temporary staffer for diverse placement agencies in Austin and Washington. The challenges, frustrations, and rewards he encountered spurred him to launch PoliTemps, an agile and responsive talent agency.
At PoliTemps, he perfected the art of connecting high-caliber professionals with nonprofits, public agencies, companies and coalitions who want to engage with dynamic commercial, political, and governmental landscapes.
His core goal has always been to bring amazing people together with worthy challenges. Working with political ‘influencers’ in Washington, Chris has created Fluency, an innovative social media communications agency.
At Fluency, he aligns the finest social and communications-sensitive talent in America with extraordinary opportunities to drive conversation, engagement, and trust.
